Technical Sales Representative - Pumps & Industrial Process Systems - Gauteng Region

 

Role:

An exciting opportunity now exists for a sales professional to join our Gauteng based team. 

The role is full time, flexible and offered with a remuneration package reflective of suitability and experience. 

 

Location: Gauteng Region

Candidates must reside in the advertised region and preferably have work experience calling on and travelling with in the different industrial areas within the region.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Actively negotiate and influence new and existing business prospects.
  • Actively develop and maintain Customer Relationship Management database.
  • Identifying the appropriate products and services for new and existing clients.
  • Relationship building and extension, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Provide technical assistance in quoting, tendering, internal sales, and project management.
  • Provide assistance with the preparation of budgets and sales related activities.
  • Provide assistance in clerical duties. 
  • Provide assistance in service scheduling and job costing. 
  • Strive to exceeding group sales targets.
  • Ensuring profitability through maximising all business opportunities.

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Practical communication and interpersonal competences.
  • Ability to network and build relationships.
  • Excellent business intelligence.
  • Ability to research and analyse.
  • General knowledge of pumps and industrial designs preferred. 
  • Proven history in industrial sales.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude. 
  • Good knowledge of interpreting specifications and drawings preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Aptitude to learn specific computer programs. 
  • High proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to collate information, work autonomously and manage all business opportunities from conception to completion.
  • High level of attention to detail and time management.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Punctual and polite.
