Tapflo South Africa was contacted by a beverage company about a whey powder application. In the previous week, the customer emptied the whey powder into a Hopper, but since it was so light, it scattered everywhere. The problem was that whey powder contains proteins, which is a health and safety risk and despite cleaning the room several times to avoid bacterial growth, they still found traces of protein on the walls etc.
Tapflo South Africa was contacted by the beverage company when they wanted to launch a drink containing whey powder. At Tapflo we believe in our products, and we gave them a Tapflo Powder pump on a trial basis as a solution. After 2 days of great results, the customer paid for the pump. So that it doesn't go airborne, a lance was put on the suction side so it can go directly into the bags of whey powder. From the bags, the pump transfers the powder straight to a mixing tank where it's added to liquid. To this day, the customer is satisfied with this solution.
